When I started at CCNY I was unsure about how I would fit in. I’m a first generation college student so everything was very new for me. However, many professors and advisors helped me navigate college. My advisor offered me many resources: information about tutoring, effective study strategies, guidance on course selection, and information about career paths based on my degree. My classmates also offered me advice in my education and shared information that I hadn’t previously known. I previously often questioned “What would I do if I fail at something?”, as time has passed I realized that failure doesn’t mean something should end especially when it’s a passion of yours. I have come to terms with the idea that if I fail at something in my academic journey, I won’t give up! I’m glad I chose CCNY; I have learned a lot.
